The criteria were.
You have to use the Title 100% Boy
2 photos
The Sassafrass Lass paper
Cork Border
4 Brads
2 Buttons
& the Brads and the Buttons are to be altered!

I added some co-ordinating SL papers, and bazzill CS, AC thickers, Versa Colour inks & a scrap of ribbon. I added some string to the buttons. I used Kaisercraft paint on the cork border, then gave it a coat of glossy accents. I also used the KC paint on some bubble wrap to make the background and the arrow.

Close up of my embellishments.

The votes are in now, and I came equal first with Sue.

Passionate Scrappers Competition Week 4 Challenge

Week 4's challenge over @ A Passion for Craft was set by the lovely Krissy!

The criteria were.

You have to use your Bo Bunny paper

The Bella alphas
2 brads
2 buttons
2 flowers

and this sketch.
I flipped the sketch to suit the photos better.
The Bo Bunny PP, was the orange, brown, rust and white one, I fussy cut around the details, and used some mounting tape to add dimension. I used Ancient page ink to colour the alphas, then covered then in "glossy accents" to make them stand out and be shiny. I used "AdornIt" alphas for the subtitle. I added some Bazzill CS, and some left over brown PP, and flowers.

I really like how it turned out!

Passionate Scrappers Competition Week 3 Challenge

Week 2's challenge was set by the lovely Zany for A Passion for Craft.

The criteria were:

To use - Paper Inkling Teen Queen Paper and The Kaiser Rhinestones from our packs.

And the LO had to include a photo of a teenager, and some stamping.

This week I think the competition really stepped up a notch in terms of hardness. The PP was something I just really would not normally use. And the photo of a teenager was a hard one too, as I a) don't know any female teenagers, and b) didn't have any photos of me as a teenager. I ended up pulling out my photos I had stashed away, and luckily I found this one, it is of me and my at the time bestest friends Tracey & Joanne. It was at Joanne's Debut, and we were all 16.

I added to the pack, Bazzill CS, AC Thickers, Ribbon, Assorted flowers, a button, HS stamps & Versa Colour inks.

I am quite happy with the end result, and also happy that my LO was completely different to everybody else.

Passionate Scrappers Competition Week 2 Challenge

Week 2's challenge was set by the lovely Krissy for A Passion for Craft.

The criteria were:

To use this sketch as inspiration. http://apassionforcraftgallery.com/displayimage.php?album=35&pos=0

and to use the following from our packs.

Paper trunk ravishing pp
3 buttons
3 flowers
1 journal card

I did my LO about my Nanna & Harrison. Although technically she is Harrison's Great Nanna, we have named her Grand Nanna, as we thought it sounded nicer : )

I used Scrapbook Walls - Persian floral & Chateau Stripe PP's, Bazzill CS, American Crafts Thickers, assorted flowers, buttons & photo corners.

Thanks for looking,

Kat

Passionate Scrappers Competition Week 1

I have entered an 8 week challenge over at the A Passion For Craft forum.

It cost me $20 to enter, and I received a pack of goodies to use throughout the 8 weeks.

Each week we are given a challenge to complete, this week we had to use (from the pack) 5 journal blocks & the Bella patterned paper. Also the journal blocks had to be journalled on. The other criteria was that the LO had to be about someone we love.

I chose my gorgeous niece Tayla, who I love & miss like crazy, as she lives over in WA. These photos were taken last year in September while we were on holidays.

All of the LO's entered were to be emailed to APFC's mighty leader Lynnie, and they were posted in the gallery anonymously, so that voting was fair. Also we are only allowed to blog our entries once that weeks winner has been announced.

The Design Team at the forum all vote, and everyone who entered can vote too, then the points are tallied up to get a weekly winner. Also there is a lucky draw each week to win 10% off their next order at the shop. At the end of the 8 weeks, the person with the highest number of votes wins a prize.

Anyway, this week, I received the highest amount of votes. Woohoo!!!!! I am excited!
